The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka Essay Topics
The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka Essay TopicsThe Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka is a very personal novel that is fast paced and full of twists and turns. It has made its way to the top of the bestseller lists in recent years and has become one of the most important novels in the twentieth century. It is an incredibly well written great book. It is about a man named Viktor, who is looking for someone who was his first love in a town called Blochwilz in the province of Lemberg in Switzerland. He finds her, but he gets caught up in a lot of problems along the way.It takes him all over Europe and even to some other countries to find his lost love and these are not just those of the emotional nature; there are also some physical transformations that he must go through. It can be seen as a representation of what happened in his life because when he went to meet his first love she changed into something other than what she was.It has a great potential to make a serious impact on the society, b ecause it talks about human emotions, what happens to us in these situations and the dark side of human nature. And this is something that has been lost in most novels that are written today. In fact, in this novel, Kafka wrote about things that have happened to him during his travels in Europe and he even said that some of the things he saw and experienced were impossible. So if you have not read this novel, you should go ahead and do so because you will not be disappointed. It is also written in the style of a story which is quite similar to how literary fiction is often done and that is using stories that talk about social causes and moral challenges and making them relevant to the current times. A good example is that the title of the novel is actually a pun on a term used in the first world war. While it is based on true events that happen in the present time, the subject matter is about social causes and issues that are current in the society. So if you want to read a book that t alks about such social matters, then The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka is a must read.Kafka himself even said that he wrote The Metamorphosis so that 'society should realize that for a human being it is not enough to fight for social causes and they must be worked upon'. It is an exciting novel that we all must read and it will make you think about the things that are happening today.
